Homemade

Thao Nguyen is confirming my belief that Nguyen is the only Vietnamese surname. Despite my self-proclaimed Chinese-avenger status and my tendency to morph into the Asian Hulk when discussing all things old country, deep down I am a purveyor of stereotypes and I really haven't a clue. Thao and Anggun are my last hope that I do possess something other than technical creativity. Represent.

She has a Fiona Apple-esque raspy, sing out the side of your mouth quality, but a little breezier and a little less severe.

They say it's your birthday...it's my birthday too!

~ Posted by Picasa King Patriot of the Republic of Texas, Sergio, has alerted me that today is Texas' Independence Day. Woohoo!! Bang bang bang. In honor of this occassion I will write the following entry concerning my facination with the Selena Quintanilla of South Texas Blood Sucking Monsters ,El Chupacabra, in broken, broken Spanish:

Muchos besitos,

Alejandra L.

Texas' Blood-Sucking Monster

Un Cancion sobre Chupie#4 - Chupacabras

For those of you that don't know Spanish (or those who actually do) here is the Altavista Babelfish translation:

Happy Birthday by the state of mio - Tejas! Many thanks for education of me on Mexican and the enchiladas , to make my grandmothers Chinese speak espanol, and specially for the Chupacabra. Who is east Chupacabra you say? Aye Caramba! It is the Yeti of Tejas. The Abominable Much Cold Cabron of the South. Is bad Santa Claus for the children of Tejas. All the people, specially the cows and farmers, are scared of the Chupacabra because it likes the blood of the animals and has the body of a Pterydactyl. Nobody has seen Chupie but it gives all dreams badly. One day, we will find it. Until the day, Alive the Chupacabra!
